Role & responsibilities For an HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Mechanic job in Ireland, the typical eligibility requirements are:
Educational qualification: ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Experience: Usually 23 years of relevant experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
Technical skills: Experience in servicing and repairing trucks, buses, engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
Diagnostic skills: Knowledge of fault diagnosis, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools.
Language: Basic to positive English communication skills.
Driving licence: An HGV driving licence may be an advantage, but it is not always mandatory for a mechanic role.
