Role Description The Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Supervisor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Chennai, with some flexibility for work from home. The supervisor oversees day-to-day HVAC operations, including planning and monitoring installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities across commercial and industrial sites.

Responsibilities include leading and guiding technicians, assigning tasks, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project engineers and other MEP teams. The role involves diagnosing system issues, implementing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance,



verifying performance through inspections and reports, and supporting energy-efficient operation of HVAC systems. The supervisor also interacts with clients and site representatives, addressing service requests, explaining technical findings, and ensuring timely, professional resolution of concerns.

Qualifications

- Strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, task allocation, performance monitoring, and on-site coordination.
- Solid HVAC knowledge, including systems such as VRV/VRF, chillers, AHUs, ductable and split AC, ventilation, and fresh air systems.
- Hands-on Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and control issues in HVAC equipment and related MEP interfaces.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution, including checklists, inspections, and documentation.
- Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with clients, manage expectations, and ensure professional, timely support.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; relevant HVAC certifications are an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety standards, energy-effective practices, and basic MEP coordination (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and service documentation, and prepare clear reports.
- Proficiency in using standard HVAC tools, measuring instruments, and basic computer skills for planning and reporting.
- Prior experience supervising HVAC field teams on commercial or industrial projects is preferred.
