Head of Finance – NBFC Lending

Experience: 7–10 years overall, with at least 4–5 years in an NBFC lending business.

About the Role

Assetify is a technology-backed NBFC engaged in asset financing, with lending products across Two-Wheeler, Vehicle, Solar Rooftop, Procurement, and LAP.

We are looking for a hands-on, commercially oriented Head of Finance to own the company's financial planning, MIS, business economics, treasury, and financial performance, ensuring that finance actively supports the growth of Sales, Operations, and Investments.

The company already has an Accountant and an external Auditor. This role is therefore focused on financial ownership, analysis, forecasting, decision support, and business performance—not merely accounting and audit coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Planning & MIS: Own monthly management reporting, budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections, and financial performance dashboards for management and the Board.
- Business Economics: Analyse product-wise and state-wise profitability, lending yields, cost of funds, margins, operating costs, credit costs, and contribution to profitability.
- Growth Alignment: Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Investments to align business targets, disbursement plans, funding availability, resource requirements, and profitability.
- Treasury & Capital Management: Manage liquidity planning, ALM, NCD and borrowing obligations, capital requirements, fundraising support, and timely identification of funding gaps.




- Financial Control & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure reliable financial numbers, loan portfolio reconciliations, provisioning oversight, applicable RBI financial reporting, and timely closure of financial control gaps in coordination with the Accountant, Auditor, and Compliance team.
- Strategic Decision Support: Provide actionable financial insights to the CEO and Board on business growth, pricing, cost optimisation, capital allocation, and the path to sustainable profitability.
- Systems & Accountability: Establish a disciplined reporting calendar, improve system-driven MIS, and ensure timely, accurate, and consistent financial information across the organisation.

Candidate Requirements

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with substantial hands-on NBFC lending experience.
- Strong understanding of NBFC financial management, loan portfolio economics, treasury, ALM, RBI reporting, and financial controls.
- Proven ability to build financial models, analyse business performance, forecast cash flows, and translate numbers into management decisions.
- Solid Excel, financial modelling, analytical, and communication skills.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and capable of working directly with senior management in a growing, regulated financial institution.
