Every year, a surprising amount of IT money leaves the building for no valuable reason. A renewal nobody noticed. Licences nobody uses. An invoice billed twice. A cancelled service that's still being paid for.
We're hiring someone to find it, stop it, and make sure every rupee, dollar and euro of IT infrastructure spend earns its place.
The role
You'll own the cost of our IT infrastructure and the commercial, contractual and operational relationship with the suppliers behind it worldwide: hardware, software, cloud, infrastructure and IT qualified services. You're accountable for the value we get from that spend.
This is a data-first job. Our spend runs across many entities, currencies and contract structures, so the answers to "are we overpaying?" and "is this supplier delivering?" are in the numbers, not in anyone's memory. You'll build the dashboards, scorecards and models that answer those questions, use AI to read contracts at scale and spot risk early, and then take the conclusion, not the spreadsheet, to IT, Finance, Legal, Security and senior leadership.
What you'll own
- Billing accuracy: checking that what we're invoiced matches what the contract says across infrastructure, hardware and software, reviewing ISP and telephony invoices for duplicates and overcharges, and making sure Finance knows the terms whenever a service is cancelled
- Savings: supplier consolidation, service convergence, licence rationalisation and demand management, tracked against committed targets so we can see what was actually delivered
- Negotiation: building the case from benchmarks, consumption data and market intelligence, then challenging suppliers on price, delivery quality, risk and compliance
- Contract lifecycle: obligations, renewals, change orders, true-ups, disputes,
and exit or transition plans
- Supplier reviews and audits, including licence compliance and consumption against entitlement
- Being the bridge between central IT, local country teams and suppliers, so services keep running while things change
- Reporting that people actually use: dashboards built with AI where it helps, turned into one-page decisions for executives
How we use AI We use AI across the sourcing and cost workflow and want you to use it well. That means contract review at scale (renewal and auto-renewal dates, price escalators, audit and termination clauses), spend classification, duplicate and overlap detection, anomaly and renewal-risk flagging, supplier research, and first drafts of negotiation briefs and summaries.
It also means good judgement. A person verifies anything commercial before we rely on it, confidential contract and supplier data stays inside approved tools, and you'll help shape those rules. You'll also look hard at suppliers' own AI claims: what the model does, what it trains on, where it runs, and what the contract really commits them to.
About you
- 8+ years in IT sourcing, technology procurement, vendor management or outsourcing governance, with contracts you've owned in your own name
- A track record negotiating with large global suppliers across software and SaaS, hardware and support, cloud and infrastructure, and IT services
- Experience in a multi-country, multi-vendor setup, working with local teams
- Solid grounding in SLA and KPI design, licence and entitlement management, and commercial models (subscription, consumption, managed service, T&M;, outcome-based)
- Savings you can put numbers on. We care about results, not activity
- Hands-on analytics: you build your own models. Advanced Excel plus Power BI, Tableau or similar. SQL or Python is a bonus
- Practical AI experience in real work, and a clear sense of where its output needs checking and where it shouldn't be used at all
- The ability to give a CxO the decision on one page
- Comfort in a matrixed organisation, working independently across time zones
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, supply chain, IT or similar (equivalent experience is fine), and business-level English
Nice to have: CIPS, CPSM, IAOP COP, ITIL, CSAM or ITAM credentials. Experience with SAP Ariba, Coupa, Workday, ServiceNow or CLM tools. Licence audit defence with major publishers. Outsourcing or transformation programme experience. German or Dutch. PMP, Prince2 or Agile.
How we work
Our team is spread across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. You'll agree a core overlap window with your key stakeholders and suppliers.
