Job Summary The Giddha Incharge will be responsible for training, guiding, and managing students in Giddha, the traditional Punjabi folk dance. The role involves preparing students for cultural performances, university festivals, competitions, and other institutional events while promoting Punjabi culture and traditions.

Key Responsibilities

- Train students in traditional Giddha dance, including steps, rhythm, expressions, and performance techniques.
- Plan and conduct regular Giddha practice sessions and rehearsals.
- Prepare students for university functions, cultural festivals, competitions, and inter-university events.
- Choreograph Giddha performances according to event themes and requirements.
- Guide students in traditional Punjabi attire, props, boliyan, and cultural presentation.
- Coordinate with the Art & Culture department for event planning and performance schedules.
- Identify talented students and encourage their participation in cultural activities.




- Maintain discipline, attendance, and regular practice schedules.
- Ensure proper maintenance and availability of costumes, props, and other performance materials.
- Coordinate with event organizers, music teams, and other cultural groups.
- Preserve and promote the authenticity of Punjabi folk traditions.
- Monitor student performance and provide regular feedback for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate in any discipline; formal training in Giddha, Punjabi folk dance, or Performing Arts will be preferred.
- 2 years of experience in Giddha training, choreography, or cultural performance management.
- Experience in university cultural events and inter-college competitions will be an advantage.
