Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled General Mechanic to handle the repair, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of vehicles, trucks, construction equipment, and general machinery. The role requires the ability to diagnose mechanical issues, carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, and respond quickly to emergency breakdowns to ensure equipment remains protected, reliable, and operational.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform regular inspection, servicing, repair, and maintenance of vehicles, trucks, construction equipment, and machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and identify the root cause of equipment breakdowns.
- Carry out emergency repairs and breakdown maintenance whenever required.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on construction equipment, heavy machinery, and related mechanical systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
- Inspect engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulic systems, cooling systems, and other mechanical components.
- Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble defective or worn-out mechanical components.
- Carry out oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, adjustments, and other routine servicing activities.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper and safe operation before returning it to service.
- Attend to equipment breakdowns at work sites and provide timely troubleshooting and repair support.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts used, and equipment condition.
- Identify parts and tools required for repairs and coordinate with the concerned team for availability.




- Ensure all repair and maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and company standards.
- Keep workshop tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Report major mechanical defects, recurring problems, and equipment conditions to the supervisor.
- Support other mechanical maintenance activities as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a General Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, or similar role.
- Experience repairing and maintaining vehicles, trucks, construction equipment, and general machinery.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, and related components.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency breakdown situations.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop practices.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, maintenance instructions, and technical information.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.

Working Conditions

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
