About the Property

House of Sheherwali is a distinctive hospitality destination in Murshidabad, offering guests an experience rooted in heritage, culture and personalised hospitality.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and result-oriented General Manager to lead the overall operations of the property, ensure exceptional guest experiences, drive business growth and maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Overall Resort Operations: Independently manage day-to-day operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance and Guest Services.
- Revenue & Business Growth: Drive room occupancy, revenue generation, cost optimisation and overall profitability through effective business strategies.
- Guest Experience: Ensure consistently high standards of hospitality, guest satisfaction, service quality and prompt resolution of guest concerns.
- Team Leadership: Lead, supervise and motivate departmental teams, ensuring productivity, accountability, discipline and adherence to service standards.
- Sales & Marketing Coordination: Work closely with travel agents, corporate clients, online travel platforms and other business partners to maximise bookings and visibility.
- Financial & Cost Management: Monitor budgets, operational expenses, inventory, vendor management and departmental performance to achieve financial targets.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain property standards, hygiene, safety, statutory compliance and preventive maintenance across all departments.
- Management Reporting: Provide regular operational updates,



revenue reports, performance analysis and improvement plans to the management.

Candidate Requirements

- Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant hospitality experience, including at least 3 years in a senior operational leadership role such as Resort Manager, Operations Manager, Resident Manager or General Manager.
- Prior experience managing a resort, boutique hotel, heritage property or premium hospitality establishment will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of resort operations, revenue management, guest relations, budgeting and cost control.
- Proven ability to independently manage a property and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with hotel PMS, online booking platforms and hospitality reporting systems.
- Willingness to be based in Murshidabad and actively oversee on-site operations.
