Role Purpose The General Manager - Business Finance will act as a strategic finance partner to business leadership, driving financial performance, profitability, business planning, forecasting, and decision support. The role is responsible for providing financial insights, ensuring effective financial governance, and supporting business growth initiatives through robust financial analysis and controls.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Partnering

- Partner with business leaders to drive revenue growth, margins, and profitability.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic and operational decision-making.
- Challenge and support business assumptions to improve performance and capital allocation.
- Support recent business initiatives, pricing decisions, and market expansion plans.
- Evaluate pricing strategies, trade schemes, promotions, and commercial investments.
- Conduct business case evaluations and ROI analysis for New Product Development.
- Drive margin improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
- Lead category board for the business and drive actions
- Lead Unnati and cost savings targets

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)

- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range business planning processes for the business vertical.
- Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze variances and develop corrective action plans.
- Establish key financial and operational KPIs for business review.

3. Performance Management

- Drive monthly business reviews with leadership teams.
- Monitor profitability across products, channels, customers, and geographies.




- Identify risks and opportunities impacting business performance.
- Ensure achievement of financial targets and business objectives.

4. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

- Drive working capital improvement initiatives.
- Monitor inventory, receivables, and payables management.

5. Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Finance team.
- Build a high-performance finance organization.
- Foster collaboration across finance and business functions.

Qualifications & Experience

- Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.
- 12–15 years of relevant finance experience, including business finance and FP&A.;
- Proven experience in manufacturing, consumer durables, FMCG, electricals, or related industries.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and business partnering skills.
- Experience leading large teams and driving business performance.
