Role Description
As a Software Developer at Medflix, you will design, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications that power our doctor learning platform. You will work closely with product, design, engineering, and business teams to turn ideas and requirements into scalable, reliable, and user-friendly products.
Your responsibilities will include developing new features, building APIs and backend services, optimizing application performance, debugging production issues, and contributing to architectural and technical decisions. You will also participate in code reviews and help improve engineering practices and development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using React, React Native, Next.js, and Express.js
- Build scalable APIs, backend services, and web/mobile features
- Translate product requirements into clean,
maintainable implementations
- Debug and resolve application and production issues
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Work with databases, third-party APIs, and cloud services
- Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards
- Collaborate with product, design, and content teams
- Contribute to technical and architectural decisions
- Continuously learn and evaluate new technologies relevant to the product
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- Hands-on experience with software development and building production applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with one or more of React, React Native, Next.js, or Express.js
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and database technologies
- Understanding of Git and collaborative software development workflows
- Ability to analyze requirements, break down complex problems, and develop effective technical solutions
- Robust debugging and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with cloud platforms, real-time applications, streaming, or distributed systems is a plus
