Job Summary

We are looking for an FTTH Technician to handle fiber installation, broadband connectivity, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities at customer premises and in the last-mile network. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely installation and restoration of FTTH services.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and maintain FTTH/FTTx broadband connections at customer premises.
- Perform fiber cable laying, routing, termination, jointing, and splicing.
- Install and configure ONT/ONU, Wi-Fi routers, and other customer-premises equipment.
- Perform fiber testing using OTDR, Optical Power Meter, and Visual Fault Locator (VFL).
- Identify and rectify fiber cuts, low signal levels, optical power issues, and connectivity problems.
- Troubleshoot customer broadband, LAN, Wi-Fi, and connectivity-related issues.
- Carry out fiber splicing and joint closure activities.
- Perform recent connection installations, shifting, restoration, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with the NOC and Network/Service Operations Team for technical issues and escalation.
- Ensure all assigned complaints and installations are completed within the defined SLA/TAT.
- Maintain proper records of installations, faults, fiber routes, and customer equipment.
- Follow safety procedures while working on poles, rooftops, customer premises, and outdoor locations.
- Maintain tools and equipment required for field installation and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills

- Good knowledge of FTTH, FTTx, GPON, and fiber optic networks.
- Hands-on experience in fiber splicing and termination.
- Knowledge of ONT/ONU installation and configuration.
- Basic understanding of OLT and GPON architecture.
- Experience using OTDR, Optical Power Meter, and VFL.
- Basic knowledge of LAN, WAN, IP addressing, routers, and switches.




- Knowledge of PPPoE and Wi-Fi router configuration will be an advantage.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot fiber and broadband connectivity issues.

Educational Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant FTTH/ISP field experience may also be considered.

Candidate Profile

- 1–3 years of experience in FTTH / ISP / Telecom / Fiber Network.
- Candidates with experience as Fiber Technician, Fiber Optic Technician, Telecom Technician, Network Installation Technician, or Broadband Technician are preferred.
- Willingness to work in the field and travel to customer locations.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems independently.
- Valid two-wheeler driving license and own vehicle will be an added advantage.
