Role Description The Freight Broker Agent is a full-time remote role responsible for matching shippers with qualified carriers and overseeing the movement of freight from pickup to delivery. Daily tasks include sourcing and negotiating rates with carriers, securing capacity, and coordinating dispatch details. The agent will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, manage accounts, and provide consistent updates on shipment status.

Responsibilities also include entering load information, tracking and tracing shipments, resolving service issues, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant. The role requires proactive communication, attention to detail, and a focus on timely,



cost-effective solutions for each load.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Freight Brokerage and Brokerage skills, with experience connecting shippers and carriers and negotiating competitive rates.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to manage inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Dispatching skills, including coordinating pickup and delivery times, tracking loads, and managing real-time changes.
- Candidates should possess Account Management skills, with experience maintaining client relationships, handling repeat business, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Relevant qualifications include prior experience in transportation or logistics, familiarity with load boards and TMS platforms, and solid organizational and time-management abilities.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic financial and rate-margin understanding, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
