About the Opportunity We are looking for an experienced, results-driven Freelance Email Marketing Expert to build, launch and scale RiseUpp's email marketing operations from the ground up .

We need someone who can take complete ownership of setting up our email marketing infrastructure, developing strategies, creating automated campaigns and driving measurable business results.

This is a hands-on execution role, not just an advisory or strategy position.

Our objective is to build email marketing into a scalable channel for lead generation, learner engagement, admissions conversion and customer retention .

Key Responsibilities

- Email Marketing Setup: Set up our email marketing infrastructure from scratch, including platform selection, configuration, integrations and workflows.
- Platform Implementation: Evaluate and implement suitable tools such as Brevo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Zoho Campaigns or other relevant platforms.
- Email Deliverability: Configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC, sender authentication, domain reputation monitoring and other email deliverability best practices.
- Email Marketing Strategy: Develop a comprehensive strategy targeting students,



graduates and working professionals interested in online degrees and certifications.
- Audience Segmentation: Segment our opted-in audience based on interests, education, career goals, programme preferences and engagement.
- Campaign Creation: Plan, create, schedule and execute targeted email campaigns, newsletters and promotional communications.
- Email Automation: Build automated lead nurturing, welcome sequences, follow-up campaigns, re-engagement workflows and admissions conversion journeys.
- Email Content & Design: Create compelling subject lines, persuasive email copy, responsive templates and effective calls to action.
- CRM Integration: Connect email marketing tools with our CRM, website lead forms and relevant marketing systems.
- A/B Testing: Continuously optimise subject lines, content, sending schedules and conversion rates.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track delivery rates, click-through rates, conversions, leads and other key performance metrics.
- Compliance & List Hygiene: Implement consent-based sending, unsubscribe management, suppression lists and email list hygiene.

Who We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience preferred.
- Proven experience building email marketing systems and campaigns from scratch .
- Strong technical knowledge of email marketing platforms, automation and CRM integrations.
- Experience setting up domain authentication and improving email deliverability.
- Excellent email copywriting and campaign optimisation skills.
- Experience with segmentation, lead nurturing and lifecycle marketing.
- Solid understanding of email marketing analytics, A/B testing and conversion optimisation.




- Experience in EdTech, education, B2C or high-volume lead generation businesses is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and deliver measurable results.

Expected Deliverables Phase 1 – Setup & Infrastructure

- Recommend and implement the appropriate email marketing platform.
- Configure sender authentication, deliverability and technical integrations.
- Set up audience segmentation and email templates.
- Integrate the platform with our website and CRM.

Phase 2 – Campaign Launch

- Develop an email marketing calendar and campaign strategy.
- Launch initial email marketing campaigns.
- Implement automated lead nurturing and follow-up sequences.
- Set up tracking, analytics and dashboards.

Phase 3 – Optimisation & Growth

- Continuously improve email engagement and conversion rates.
- Expand automated marketing journeys.
- Scale campaigns based on performance.
- Provide regular reports with actionable insights.
