Role Description This is a full-time, freelance/contractual PeopleSoft Subject Matter Expert (SME) role focused on Finance, Sales, or Operations. The position is hybrid, based in Hyderabad, with some flexibility for work-from-home arrangements.

The PeopleSoft SME will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing PeopleSoft modules, ensuring alignment with business processes in finance, sales, or operations. Daily activities include requirement gathering with stakeholders, system analysis, solution design, and documentation of configurations and customizations. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, performing impact analysis, coordinating with technical teams for integrations and enhancements, and supporting testing, deployment,



and user training to ensure stable and efficient system performance.

Qualifications

- Extensive experience (8+ years) working as a PeopleSoft SME in Finance, Sales, or Operations, with strong functional and configuration expertise in relevant modules.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution design, and documentation, with the ability to translate business needs into system configurations.
- Hands-on experience in testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of PeopleSoft applications, including issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, including technical developers, business stakeholders, and project managers in hybrid work settings.
- Solid understanding of enterprise systems, data workflows, and integrations between PeopleSoft and other applications; familiarity with implementation or upgrade projects is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex system concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications in PeopleSoft or ERP systems are a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a contractual engagement model.
