Role Overview

We are looking for a FinLines & Cyber Technology Lead who combines deep insurance domain expertise in Financial Lines and Cyber products with strong technology leadership. This is a matrix leadership role, working closely with the Financial Lines and Cyber business lead in the US while embedded within the Chubb India GCC technology team. You will drive technology strategy, platform evolution, and digital capabilities for one of Chubb's most dynamic and fastest-growing insurance segments — spanning Directors & Officers, Errors & Omissions, Management Liability, Employment Practices, and Cyber insurance.

This role requires you to be equally fluent in insurance concepts and technology decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary technology leader for Financial Lines and Cyber insurance products within the NA CI engineering organisation.
- Partner closely with the FL & Cyber business lead in the US to align technology strategy with product strategy, underwriting priorities, and market expansion plans.
- Drive platform roadmap for Financial Lines and Cyber: policy administration, underwriting, rating, and claims systems specific to specialty lines.
- Lead technology initiatives specific to Cyber insurance — exposure data platforms,



threat intelligence integration, cyber risk quantification tooling, and incident response data workflows.
- Define and govern integrations between FL/Cyber platforms and the broader Chubb technology estate: reinsurance, finance, claims, and distribution.
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics to enhance underwriting decisioning, risk assessment, and claims triage for complex specialty lines — including AI-assisted exposure analysis and emerging risk modelling.
- Operate effectively in a matrix structure: influence without direct authority, align teams across US and India, and build trusted relationships with global business and technology stakeholders.
- Engage with global architecture, product, actuarial, and underwriting stakeholders to represent FL/Cyber technology needs in enterprise planning forums.
- Build and lead a focused team of platform engineers and domain analysts embedded in the FL/Cyber value stream.

What We Are Looking For

- Strong insurance domain knowledge in Financial Lines — Directors & Officers (D&O;), Errors & Omissions (E&O;), Management Liability, Employment Practices Liability (EPL) — and/or Cyber insurance products.
- Understanding of specialty lines underwriting, policy structures, coverage terms, and claims characteristics that differ from standard P&C; lines.
- Technology leadership: able to define platform strategy, govern complex multi-system programmes, and engage engineering teams on architecture and delivery.
- Awareness of the Cyber insurance technology landscape — risk aggregation tools (e.g. AIR, RMS), cyber exposure data platforms, threat intelligence feeds, and incident response data.
- Ability to operate confidently in a matrix structure: influencing without direct authority, managing across US and India time zones and cultures.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills at senior business and technology levels — comfortable presenting to underwriting leadership and technology executives.
- Exposure to AI/ML applications in specialty insurance is strongly advantageous: intelligent underwriting assistance, automated exposure analysis, and emerging risk modelling.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience combining insurance domain depth and technology leadership.
- Financial Lines or Cyber insurance domain experience is essential for this role — this is a non-negotiable requirement.
