About the Company

Nexal IIT is offering a structured remote internship for college students and freshers who want to begin a career in financial analysis. The internship provides practical exposure to financial data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance evaluation. Interns will work with financial information, spreadsheets, analytical tools, and project-based assignments to understand business financial performance and support data-driven financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

- Assist in analyzing financial statements, reports, and business financial data.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and presentations for business analysis.
- Use Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to organize, analyze, and interpret financial information.
- Assist in monitoring revenue, expenses, profitability, and key financial performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct industry and market research to understand financial trends and business performance.
- Help compare actual financial results with budgets and forecasts to identify variances.
- Assist in preparing cash flow statements and basic financial projections.
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and potential areas for cost optimization.
- Support financial modeling and scenario analysis under the guidance of the team.




- Maintain accurate financial records, spreadsheets, and analytical documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to understand financial requirements and business objectives.
- Complete assigned financial analysis tasks and project deliverables within deadlines.

Requirements
- Suitable for college students and freshers interested in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and business operations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Basic knowledge of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, is beneficial.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis is an advantage.
- Familiarity with financial modeling, Power BI, or other analytical tools is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of financial ratios, profitability analysis, and cost analysis is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking, numerical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial information accurately.
- Positive written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing deadlines responsibly.
- Willingness to learn financial analysis techniques, tools, and industry practices.

This is a paid, remote internship with a duration of 3 months and a performance-based stipend of up to ₹10,000.
