We are looking for an experienced and qualified

Finance Head to lead and oversee financial reporting and accounting operations for our organization in Chennai. The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of experience in financial reporting and a strong background in the shipping or marine industry

. Candidates with experience in corporate accounting or vessel accounting will be preferred. Relocation candidates are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and financial management activities.

- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.

- Manage corporate accounting and vessel accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.

- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and financial regulations.

- Monitor financial performance, budgets, cash flow, and key financial indicators.

- Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and other stakeholders on financial matters.

- Establish and maintain effective financial controls, accounting policies, and reporting procedures.





- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic business decisions.

- Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

- Manage finance-related activities specific to the shipping and marine industry.

Key Requirements

- Qualified

Chartered Accountant (CA)

with

10+ years of experience in financial reporting and accounting.

- Mandatory experience in the shipping or marine industry

.

- Prior experience in corporate accounting or vessel accounting will be an added advantage.

- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and financial controls.

- Experience in managing financial statements, reporting processes, and accounting operations.

- Positive understanding of statutory compliance, audits, and financial regulations.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.

- Ability to manage financial operations independently and lead the finance function effectively.
