Company Description SBI Payment Services Pvt. Ltd. is a joint venture between State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest commercial bank, and Hitachi Payment Services Pvt. Ltd. The company focuses on key activities in the Merchant Acquiring Business, including merchant sourcing, relationship management, and complaint support services for SBI.

Through SBI’s digital payment solutions such as PoS terminals, Bharat QR, and BHIM-Aadhaar-SBI, the company supports merchants in accepting card and app-based payments for goods and services.

Role Description The Field Sales Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Srinagar. The role involves identifying and onboarding recent merchants, promoting SBI’s digital payment products (PoS, QR, BHIM-Aadhaar-SBI), and explaining product features and benefits to prospective and existing merchants.

The Field Sales

Officer will maintain ongoing business relationships, provide basic training on usage of payment acceptance solutions, and support merchants in resolving operational or service-related issues by coordinating with internal teams. The role also includes achieving assigned sales and activation targets,



conducting regular market visits, gathering feedback, and providing timely reporting on field activities and competitor insights.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Sales skills, with the ability to generate leads, convert prospects, and achieve field targets.
- Candidates should possess solid Client Relations and Business Relationship Management skills to build and maintain long-term merchant partnerships.
- Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills to support merchants, handle issues professionally, and ensure a positive experience.
- Candidates should possess clear and confident Communication skills for explaining products, conducting trainings, and interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of digital payments, PoS terminals, and QR-based solutions is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work in the field, manage time efficiently, and operate with integrity and accountability.
- Prior experience in field sales, merchant acquiring, banking, or fintech is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification: a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in business, commerce, or a related discipline.
