Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Food & Beverage Manager to manage the overall F&B; operations of our hospital. The candidate will be responsible for patient food services, kitchen operations, cafeteria/restaurant services, food safety, hygiene, manpower management, inventory, cost control and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, hospital/institutional catering experience and a good understanding of food safety and service standards.

Responsibilities :

- Manage the overall day-to-day Food & Beverage operations.
- Supervise patient food services, kitchen, cafeteria, restaurant and pantry operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of patient meals as per prescribed diet requirements.
- Coordinate with Dieticians, Nursing, Hospital Administration and other departments for patient food services.
- Ensure food quality, hygiene, safety and presentation meet hospital standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI and food-safety requirements.
- Monitor food preparation, storage, temperature control and sanitation.
- Manage F&B; staff, including duty allocation, shift planning, attendance and performance.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower for all shifts.
- Conduct staff briefings, training and performance monitoring.
- Control food cost, wastage and unnecessary expenses.
- Monitor food and consumable inventory and coordinate with Purchase/Stores.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO and proper storage practices.




- Monitor stock consumption and conduct regular stock verification.
- Handle patient, employee and customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor vendor and supplier performance.
- Maintain F&B; records, reports, checklists and audit documents.
- Conduct regular kitchen and service-area inspections.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure closure of audit observations.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance of kitchen and F&B; equipment.
- Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly F&B; performance reports.
- Implement continuous improvement and cost-control initiatives.

Patient Food Service Responsibilities :

- Ensure meals are prepared according to approved patient diets.
- Coordinate with the Dietician/Nutrition Department for special and therapeutic diets.
- Ensure correct patient meal distribution.
- Monitor meal timing, food temperature, portion size and quality.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient meal services.
- Address patient/attendant complaints related to food services.

Qualification :

- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management or a related discipline.
- +10 years of relevant F&B; experience, preferably with managerial/supervisory experience.
- Hospital, healthcare, institutional catering or large-scale catering experience will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations.
- Strong manpower and team-management skills.
