Role Description The Fabrication Quality Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Bhilai. The individual will oversee quality-related activities across fabrication processes, including inspection of raw materials, in-process welding and assembly, and final product verification against drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing quality plans, monitoring adherence to standards, conducting root cause analysis for defects, and driving corrective and preventive actions on the shop floor. The role involves close collaboration with production, design,



and project teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory norms, and internal quality procedures.

The Fabrication Quality

Engineer will also prepare and maintain quality documentation, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in fabrication quality and productivity.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Engineering and Product Quality to oversee fabrication processes and ensure conformity to technical specifications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to manage inspections, testing, and verification activities across the production cycle.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Assurance to develop procedures, quality plans, and standards that prevent defects and ensure consistent outcomes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Management to analyze quality performance, drive improvements, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant experience in structural steel fabrication, welding processes, and interpretation of engineering drawings and standards (e.g., IS/ASTM codes) is beneficial.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, along with familiarity with ISO or similar quality management systems.
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, proficiency in MS Office, and the capacity to work safely and effectively in a shop-floor environment are desirable.
