The role

- As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating engaging video content across social media, marketing campaigns, UGC, and long-form formats. You will work closely with the creative and content teams to transform ideas and raw footage into compelling visual stories that align with the brand.

- The role requires someone with a strong understanding of editing, color grading, pacing, visual storytelling, and social-first content formats.



You should be comfortable working on fast-turnaround Reels and UGC while also being able to handle longer-form content such as podcasts and interviews.

- We are looking for someone who is creative, curious, trend-aware, and eager to experiment with new editing styles and formats.

Key responsibilities

- Edit high-quality short-form video content, Reels, UGC, social ads, and campaign assets with quick turnaround times.

- Edit long-form content, including podcasts, interviews, and other video formats.

- Apply strong color correction and color grading to create polished and consistent visuals.

- Create basic motion graphics, transitions, animations, and typography using After Effects.

- Develop engaging edits with a strong understanding of pacing, cuts, music, transitions, and visual storytelling.

- Experiment with new editing techniques and approaches to improve content performance and engagement.

- Work closely with designers, content, marketing, and other creative teams to execute video requirements.

- Ensure all video content maintains consistency with Alike's visual identity and brand tonality.





- Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within defined timelines and quick turnarounds.

- Organise and manage project files, footage, assets, and final deliverables effectively.

Requirements

Key requirements for the role

- 2–3 years of professional experience in video editing, preferably across social media, advertising, content, or digital media.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. n Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Davinci is a plus.

- Strong understanding of color correction and color grading. n Experience editing fast-paced Reels, UGC, social content, and digital ads.

- Experience with long-form video and podcast editing.

- Good understanding of basic motion graphics and animation.

- Strong understanding of graphic design fundamentals, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy.

- Strong sense of timing, pacing, music, sound, transitions, and visual storytelling.

- Good understanding of current social media trends and editing formats.

- Creative and experimental mindset, with the ability to explore new ideas and editing styles.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight timelines.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a willingness to learn and adapt.

- A strong portfolio/show reel demonstrating short-form and long-form editing work is required.
