: Equity Research Analyst – Indian & Global Markets

1. Job Summary

We are seeking a research-oriented Equity Research Analyst to identify and evaluate promising small-cap and mid-cap companies across Indian and global markets. The role involves fundamental analysis, financial modelling, valuation, industry research, management assessment, and risk evaluation to identify businesses with strong growth potential and attractive valuations.
1. Key Responsibilities

Stock Screening & Investment Research

- Identify high-potential small-cap and mid-cap investment opportunities.
- Develop stock-screening frameworks based on growth, profitability, financial strength, and valuation.
- Research emerging sectors such as AI, semiconductors, renewable energy, defence, manufacturing, infrastructure, healthcare, and technology.
- Maintain an investment watchlist and generate research-backed investment ideas.

Financial & Fundamental Analysis

- Analyse at least five years of financial statements, including the P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Evaluate revenue growth, EBITDA, PAT, EPS, ROE, ROCE, free cash flow, debt, and working capital.
- Assess promoter shareholding, pledges, related-party transactions, and corporate governance.
- Compare company performance and valuations with industry peers.

Business & Industry Research

- Understand business models, competitive advantages, industry trends, market size, and growth drivers.
- Analyse annual reports,



investor presentations, earnings-call transcripts, exchange filings, and credit-rating reports.
- Track order books, capacity expansion, new products, exports, and strategic partnerships.
- Monitor global economic developments, interest rates, currency movements, and geopolitical risks.

Valuation & Financial Modelling

- Build financial models projecting revenue, EBITDA, PAT, EPS, and cash flows over three to five years.
- Perform valuations using P/E, EV/EBITDA, P/B, DCF, and other relevant methods.
- Estimate fair value under conservative, base-case, and optimistic scenarios.
- Evaluate upside potential, downside risks, margin of safety, and investment catalysts.

Research Reports & Portfolio Monitoring

- Prepare detailed equity research reports, financial models, and investment presentations.
- Present investment theses, financial projections, valuations, growth drivers, and risks.
- Track quarterly results, management commentary, corporate announcements, and changes in investment assumptions.
- Maintain a structured research database and monitor recommendation outcomes.

1. Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- CA, CFA,



MBA Finance, or relevant NISM qualifications preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting, corporate finance, and equity valuation.
- Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and investment research.
- Ability to analyse annual reports, company disclosures, and earnings calls.
- Strong analytical, numerical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Familiarity with Screener.in, Trendlyne, Tijori Finance, Moneycontrol, Bloomberg, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Indian and US equity markets is preferred.

- Regular stock-screening and investment chance reports.
- Detailed company research reports and valuation models.
- Quarterly earnings updates and industry research.
- A prioritised investment watchlist with valuation, catalysts, and risks.
- Documented research recommendations and performance reviews.

1. Application Requirements

Candidates should submit:
- Updated CV highlighting relevant experience.
- One or two independently prepared equity research reports.
- A financial model and valuation analysis of a listed company.
- A brief investment thesis on an Indian or international small-cap or mid-cap company, including financial analysis, valuation assumptions, growth drivers, and key risks.
