Role & responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop software, platform and AI engineers with clear expectations and growth plans.
- Translate product roadmaps into executable technical plans, accountable owners and dependable releases.
- Own planning, sequencing, quality and delivery commitments across multiple product areas.
- Lead or challenge critical architecture and stay engaged through reviews, debugging and selective coding.
- Establish standards for testing, CI/CD, documentation, security, observability and incident response.
- Improve reliability, latency, scalability and cost-efficiency across AI, media and cloud workloads.
- Partner with Product, Design, AI, Operations and GTM on products, pilots and strategic customers.
- Own hiring, onboarding, performance, retention, succession planning and clear leadership updates.

Preferred candidate profile





- Typically 7-15 years in engineering; demonstrated scope and impact matter more than tenure alone.
- At least two years in Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, Architect or comparable leadership scope.
- Experience leading and developing teams of roughly 3-10+ engineers and shipping SaaS, AI or platform products.
- A solid hands-on backend foundation, preferably Python or Go, with sound frontend, data, API and distributed-system judgment.
- Production experience with PostgreSQL or Redis, AWS, CI/CD, Docker and observability; Kubernetes is useful.
- Evidence of hiring, coaching and evaluating engineers, plus strong stakeholder communication and business judgment.
