Role Description The Electronics Components Sourcing Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Gurgaon. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and sourcing electronic components that meet project specifications, quality standards, and cost targets.

The engineer will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure component availability, manage component lifecycle issues, and support product changes and updates. Daily activities include supplier evaluation, negotiation, and relationship management; reviewing technical documentation and BOMs; coordinating component qualification and approval; and tracking obsolescence and alternates. The role also involves supporting failure analysis related to component issues, maintaining accurate sourcing records,



and contributing to continuous improvement in sourcing processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Component Engineering, including component selection, qualification, and management.
- Candidates should possess skills in Product Lifecycle Management to track component availability, obsolescence, and design changes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Failure Analysis to support root-cause investigations related to component performance and reliability.
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Electrical Engineering for understanding schematics, specifications, and electronic systems.
- Candidates should possess relevant skills in Mechanical Engineering to assess physical fit, packaging, and environmental constraints of components.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in supplier management, negotiation, and working with global supply chains is beneficial.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work with design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or OEM/EMS environments is an advantage.
