1. Job Summary The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and successfully completing electrical projects within approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards. The role involves managing project teams, coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Project Planning & Execution

- Plan, organize, and execute electrical projects from initiation to completion.
- Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

B. Site Management

- Supervise site activities and ensure work follows approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure the availability of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
- Resolve technical and operational issues at project sites.

C. Project Coordination

- Liaise with clients regarding project requirements, progress, and updates.
- Attend project review meetings and submit progress reports.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely material supply.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors effectively.

D. Budget & Cost Control





- Monitor project budgets and control project costs.
- Track material consumption and resource utilization.
- Review contractor bills and vendor invoices.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

E. Quality Assurance

- Ensure compliance with project specifications, technical standards, and quality requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections and coordinate testing activities.
- Implement corrective actions for quality deviations.

F. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and applicable statutory regulations.
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Promote protected working practices at project sites.
- Maintain safety documentation for audits and inspections.

G. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project reports.
- Maintain project drawings, BOQs, work orders, and technical documents.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Prepare project completion reports and handover documents.

3. Technical Expertise Required

- Electrical installation and project execution
- HT/LT electrical systems
- Transformer installation and testing
- Substation projects
- DG set installation




- HT/LT cable laying and termination
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Electrical panels and switchgear
- Industrial and commercial electrical projects

4. Educational Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering may be considered with relevant experience.

5. Experience Required

- 8-15 years of experience in electrical contracting, EPC, or turnkey projects.
- Experience handling industrial, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing multiple project sites is preferred.
