Role Description The Draftsman Steel Structural role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The individual in this role will prepare detailed structural steel drawings, plans, and layouts for offshore and marine projects using industry-standard CAD and engineering software.

Day-to-day tasks include interpreting engineering calculations and specifications, developing fabrication and assembly drawings, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The draftsman will coordinate with structural engineers, project managers,



and other team members to clarify design inputs, resolve drawing-related issues, and support revisions throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves maintaining organized drawing records, applying quality checks to all deliverables, and contributing to continuous improvement of drafting practices and templates.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in structural drafting tools such as AutoCAD
- Strong skills in steel structural detailing, including preparation of fabrication, erection, and assembly drawings, with understanding of offshore and marine steel components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations, and translate them into accurate, clear drafting outputs.
- Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards for structural steel and offshore structures, and awareness of industry best practices in drafting and documentation.
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple drawing packages within project schedules and quality requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams in an on-site environment.
- Diploma or degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering, or in Drafting/Design, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Prior experience as a steel structural draftsman in oil
