About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Electrical Domain Trainer to deliver theoretical and practical training to candidates enrolled in the DDU-GKY 2.0 skill development program in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. The candidate will be responsible for imparting electrical knowledge, conducting practical demonstrations, developing technical skills, assessing candidate performance, and preparing candidates for employment in the electrical sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver classroom and practical training in electrical fundamentals and related technical subjects.
- Explain basic electrical concepts, electrical circuits, voltage, current, resistance, and power.
- Train candidates in electrical wiring, installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Provide practical demonstrations on domestic and commercial electrical wiring.
- Teach the safe use of electrical tools, instruments, and testing equipment.
- Train candidates in the use of multimeters, clamp meters, testers, and other basic electrical measuring instruments.
- Explain electrical components, switches, sockets, distribution boards, fuses, MCBs, and earthing systems.
- Provide training on electrical safety procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE), and workplace safety practices.
- Demonstrate basic fault identification, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Train candidates in electrical equipment installation, inspection, and maintenance as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, practical exercises, and training materials.
- Conduct practical assessments, written tests, assignments, and skill evaluations.
- Monitor candidate attendance, participation, discipline, and learning progress.
- Provide additional guidance to candidates who require improvement in technical skills.
- Maintain training records, attendance registers, assessment sheets, lesson plans, and practical lab documentation.
- Ensure the proper use, storage, and maintenance of electrical tools, equipment, and training materials.
- Maintain discipline and ensure safety in the electrical training lab.




- Coordinate with the Center Manager, IT Trainer, Soft Skills Trainer, MIS Executive, and Placement Team.
- Support candidate assessment, certification, and placement preparation activities.
- Participate in inspections, audits, monitoring visits, and assessments as required.
- Deliver training according to the approved curriculum, applicable DDU-GKY 2.0 guidelines, and project requirements.

Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria
- ITI in Electrician trade, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and practical electrical experience will be considered.
- 1–3 years of experience in electrical work, technical training, or vocational education will be preferred.
- Prior experience as an Electrical Trainer in DDU-GKY, Skill India, NSDC, PMKVY, or similar skill development programs will be an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of electrical installation, wiring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to conduct practical demonstrations and operate electrical tools and testing instruments safely.
- Good communication, teaching, and classroom management skills.




- Knowledge of Hindi and basic English is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant local languages used in Jharkhand will be an advantage.
- Willingness to work full-time at the assigned training center in Hazaribagh.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and effective manner. The candidate should be comfortable delivering both classroom instruction and hands-on practical training to learners from diverse educational backgrounds.
- Prior experience in vocational training or government-funded skill development projects will be preferred.
- Ability to conduct practical sessions focused on industry-relevant electrical skills.
- Robust emphasis on electrical safety, discipline, and proper equipment handling.
- Ability to identify learning gaps and improve candidate performance.
- Familiarity with local communities and the employment landscape in Jharkhand will be an added advantage.
- Ability to maintain accurate training records and meet project deadlines.
