About the Role

Aforro is looking for a strong Django Backend Developer who can work independently, deliver features quickly, and take ownership of backend development. The candidate should also demonstrate leadership qualities and be comfortable guiding interns or junior developers when required. This is a hands-on coding role for someone who can balance speed, code quality, scalability, and team collaboration.

Role: Django Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

● Develop and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.

● Own features from requirement understanding through development, testing, and production delivery.

● Design clean, scalable, secure, and maintainable REST APIs.

● Work with PostgreSQL, optimize queries, and design efficient data models.

● Use Redis and caching strategies to improve application performance.

● Debug production issues and resolve backend problems independently.

● Guide and train interns or junior developers and help unblock them when required.

● Review junior developers’ code and maintain backend coding standards.

● Break requirements into clear technical tasks and communicate risks or blockers early.

● Collaborate effectively with frontend, mobile, QA, product, and the Team Lead.

● Deliver work at a fast execution pace without compromising essential code quality.

Required Skills

● 2–4 years of hands-on Python and Django development experience.

● Strong knowledge of Django REST Framework and REST API design.

● Good PostgreSQL / SQL knowledge,



including query optimization.

● Experience with Redis, caching, authentication, permissions, and API security.

● Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production issue resolution skills.

● Good understanding of Git and code-review workflows.

● Ability to independently own and deliver backend features.

● Good communication skills and the ability to guide less-experienced developers.

Leadership Qualities

● Takes ownership instead of waiting for detailed instructions.

● Can mentor, train, and support interns or junior developers.

● Communicates clearly and raises delivery risks early.

● Can make practical technical decisions and explain them to the team.

● Works well under changing priorities and a fast-paced product setting.

● Supports the Team Lead in maintaining delivery speed and backend quality.

Good to Have

● FastAPI, Celery, or background workers.

● Microservices architecture and API gateway experience.

● Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment experience.

● Experience with e-commerce or other product-based applications.

● Experience working in a startup or fast-moving engineering team.

Pay: ₹337,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
