- Assist the dialysis technician/nurse in preparing the dialysis unit before each session.

- Assist in preparing and checking dialysis machines, equipment, and required supplies under supervision.

- Assist in preparing the patient for dialysis and ensuring proper identification and documentation.

- Monitor and record the patient’s vital signs before, during, and after dialysis under supervision.

- Assist with patient positioning and maintaining comfort throughout the dialysis session.

- Observe the dialysis process and promptly report any abnormal findings or patient complaints to the supervising staff.

- Assist in monitoring the dialysis machine parameters as instructed by the senior staff.

- Assist the dialysis technician/nurse in preparing and positioning the patient for AV fistula cannulation under supervision.

- Assist with preparation and handling of dialysis consumables and supplies.

- Follow strict infection-control and hand-hygiene practices at all times.

- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and proper organization of the dialysis unit.





- Assist with disinfection and preparation of equipment as per hospital protocols and under supervision.

- Maintain proper documentation and records related to assigned duties as instructed.

- Assist in maintaining adequate stock of dialysis consumables and inform the concerned staff about shortages.

- Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, and dialysis-unit protocols.

- Assist the dialysis team during emergencies as directed by the supervising staff.

- Coordinate respectfully with nurses, dialysis technicians, doctors, and other healthcare personnel.

- Participate in training, demonstrations, and learning activities related to dialysis care.

- Perform only those clinical procedures and tasks permitted for an intern and under appropriate supervision.

- Carry out other duties related to dialysis-unit operations as assigned by the supervising staff or management.
