About the Role

We are looking for a DevOps / SRE Engineer with strong GCP expertise to build, automate, secure, and scale our cloud infrastructure and production environments, covering CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, cost optimization, and production incident management, in close collaboration with development, QA, security, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

- Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and optimize highly available, scalable, and reliable GCP infrastructure.Administer Compute Engine (provisioning, scaling, networking, security, troubleshooting), GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Firestore with appropriate security, availability, backup, and performance.
- Kubernetes and containers: Administer and troubleshoot GKE clusters across dev, QA, and production, including configuration, upgrades, deployments, services, ingress, secrets, namespaces, resource limits, and autoscaling. Build Docker images and deployment workflows, and manage container registries with secure image lifecycle practices.
- Infrastructure as Code: Build reusable Terraform modules and automate provisioning across environments, managing state, remote backends, environment-specific configurations, and secrets. Keep changes version-controlled, reviewed, tested, and deployment-ready.
- CI/CD: Design and maintain pipelines (Cloud Build, Azure DevOps, or similar) automating build, test, security validation, containerization, and deployment. Implement rolling, blue-green, or canary strategies, integrate with Terraform and Kubernetes, and ensure release governance, rollback, and production readiness.
- Networking and security: Manage VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routes, load balancing, and private connectivity. Implement least-privilege IAM, service accounts, RBAC, access policies,



and secure administrative workflows. Secure infrastructure, clusters, containers, and pipelines while maintaining compliance and governance standards.
- SRE and observability: Establish SRE practices and operational readiness. Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, availability, latency, error rates, and resource utilization. Build monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and centralized logging with Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
- Incidents and resilience: Manage production incidents and escalations, troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and run root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and preventive remediation. Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Automation: Automate repetitive operations and build tooling using Python, Bash, and Linux scripting.
- Cost optimization: Monitor and optimize costs across compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and managed services through rightsizing, autoscaling, scheduling, lifecycle policies, budgets, and alerts, balancing performance, reliability, and cost with engineering teams.

Requirements

- 2-3 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or related roles, with strong DevOps and SRE practices.
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP, including GKE/Kubernetes, Docker, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and/or Firestore.
- Strong experience with Terraform/IaC,



CI/CD, Cloud Build, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging, plus strong Python scripting with Bash/Linux.
- Strong understanding of GCP VPC, networking, IAM, security, governance, and cloud cost optimization and resource management, with the ability to design scalable, secure, highly available, and reliable solutions.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting production environments, with solid incident management, escalation handling, and root-cause analysis skills.

Nice to Have

- Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect, or Cloud Security Engineer), plus experience with SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, advanced Kubernetes networking, service mesh, observability tools, security best practices, and compliance frameworks.
- Multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud experience, including Azure and Azure DevOps (Front Door, WAF, ACR, PIM, Service Bus, App Services, AKS, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and B2C custom identity policies).

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and knowledge sharing, with the ability to collaborate across development, QA, security, and operations and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
