Role Description The Designer role at Sarathy Export Fabrics is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The Designer will develop concepts and designs for table linen, kitchen linen, decorative textiles, and storage accessories, taking products from initial idea to final artwork ready for production.

Day-to-day work includes trend and market research, creating mood boards, sketches, and digital designs, selecting colors and materials, and preparing detailed specifications. The Designer will collaborate with production, merchandising, and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with brand standards.



The role also involves refining existing collections, supporting client presentations, and maintaining an organized archive of designs and samples.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in textile and product design, including pattern development, color coordination, and layout for home textiles.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software for creating print-ready artwork.
- Ability to conduct trend, market, and material research and translate insights into commercially viable designs.
- Attention to detail in preparing technical specifications, handling revisions, and ensuring quality and consistency across collections.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with production, merchandising, and sourcing teams.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to feedback in a quick-paced environment.
- Relevant education in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field; experience in home textiles is an advantage.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing and printing processes for textiles, and openness to learning on the shop floor.
