Role Summary:

The Design Bridges Expert shall be responsible for reviewing bridge designs, structural analysis, and engineering methodologies to ensure that all bridge structures are safe, economical, code-compliant, and suitable for project requirements. The expert shall provide technical guidance and quality assurance throughout the design process and support the successful delivery of bridge infrastructure projects.

Qualification:

- Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering specialization preferred).

Experience:

- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in bridge design, structural analysis, and bridge engineering projects.

- Proven experience in the design and review of highway, railway, metro, or urban infrastructure bridge structures.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and verify bridge designs, drawings, calculations, and structural analysis reports prepared by the design team.

- Evaluate bridge design methodologies and ensure compliance with applicable national and international codes, standards, and project specifications.

- Conduct structural analysis and design checks for various bridge types, including RCC, PSC, steel, and composite bridges.

- Review load calculations, structural modeling, seismic analysis, wind analysis,



and durability considerations.

- Ensure the adequacy, safety, serviceability, and constructability of bridge structures.

- Assess design assumptions, engineering calculations, and proposed construction methodologies.

- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including highway, geotechnical, hydrology, and construction experts, for integrated design solutions.

- Identify engineering risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures during the design stage.

- Assist in resolving technical issues related to bridge design, construction, and maintenance.

- Prepare technical review comments, design reports, and recommendations for project implementation.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of bridge engineering principles, structural mechanics, and design standards.

- Proficiency in bridge design and structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, CSI Bridge, or equivalent.

- Valuable understanding of IRC, IS Codes, Eurocodes, AASHTO, or other relevant international standards.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical review skills.

- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
