Job Summary The Design Coordinator is responsible for coordinating architectural design activities between consultants, clients, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure timely delivery of coordinated design documents for construction. The role involves reviewing drawings, resolving design conflicts, monitoring consultant deliverables, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design Coordination

- Coordinate architectural design with Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, Faade, Lighting, Signage, and other consultants.

- Review consultant drawings for coordination and constructability.

- Identify design clashes and coordinate resolution before construction.

- Organize design coordination meetings and prepare Minutes of Meeting (MOM).

- Track design changes and ensure timely implementation.

Drawing Management

- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and standards.

- Verify that all drawings are coordinated before release for construction.

- Maintain drawing registers and document control.

Project Coordination

- Liaise with Project Management, Site Engineers, Consultants, Vendors, and Clients.

- Support procurement by reviewing technical submittals.

- Coordinate RFIs (Requests for Information) and consultant responses.

- Monitor consultant deliverables against project schedules.

Construction Support





- Resolve site design issues during execution.

- Review material submittals and shop drawings.

- Conduct site inspections to ensure work matches approved drawings.

- Coordinate revisions arising from construction requirements.

Documentation

- Maintain design trackers and consultant deliverable schedules.

- Prepare design status reports.

- Maintain revision histories and correspondence records.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.)

- Registration with the appropriate architectural council (preferred, where applicable).

- 4 6 years of experience in design coordination for residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
