Role Description The Design Development Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This position is responsible for translating design concepts into manufacturable fine jewelry products, collaborating closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams. Day-to-day tasks include developing new product designs, preparing detailed CAD models and technical drawings, and refining prototypes based on feedback and production constraints.

The specialist conducts research on trends, materials, and techniques to ensure designs align with market preferences and brand standards.



The role also involves coordinating with production to optimize design for efficiency, durability, and aesthetic appeal, while maintaining consistency with Dua Gold’s quality and craftsmanship benchmarks.

Qualifications

- Strong product development skills with experience taking concepts from design through to finished jewelry products.
- Proficiency in research related to design trends, materials, manufacturing techniques, and customer preferences.
- Hands-on expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools relevant to jewelry design and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for fine jewelry, including an understanding of production constraints and quality standards.
- Relevant education in jewelry design, product design, industrial design, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sense, and ability to balance creativity with practical manufacturing requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams in office in Coimbatore.
- Previous experience in fine jewelry or luxury product design and development is an advantage.
