About the Role
Smaaash Entertainment is looking for a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer to troubleshoot and improve technology systems across our entertainment venues. The role involves software, APIs, system integrations, networking, hardware, cloud infrastructure and automation, working closely with internal teams and technology vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across Smaaash venues.
- Develop and troubleshoot APIs, backend systems, scripts and integrations.
- Manage integrations involving POS, RFID/cashless systems, gaming machines, IoT and third-party platforms.
- Troubleshoot networking, DNS, cloud infrastructure and hardware-related issues.
- Build internal tools and automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors and venue operations.
- Identify opportunities to implement AI/LLM-based solutions and reusable technical fixes.
- Travel across India as required for deployments and on-site troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in backend development, APIs, scripting, integrations or automation.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and business/operations teams.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Willingness to travel across India.
Preferred Backgrounds: Solutions Engineer, Integration Engineer, Systems Engineer, Backend Engineer, Deployment Engineer, Technical Solutions Engineer, IoT Engineer or Implementation Engineer. Experience with POS, RFID/cashless systems, gaming technology, IoT, AWS/cloud, networking, hardware integrations or AI automation will be an added advantage.
