Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and patient-focused Dental Assistant to support our dental doctors in providing efficient and safe patient care. The candidate should be comfortable assisting during dental procedures, maintaining proper sterilization and infection-control standards, and ensuring the dental operatory is well organised and ready for procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist dentists during consultations, examinations, and dental procedures.
- Prepare the dental operatory, instruments, and materials before procedures.
- Properly clean, disinfect, sterilise, and maintain dental instruments as per infection-control protocols.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of sterilised instruments.
- Assist doctors with chairside procedures and provide instruments/materials as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dental treatment area at all times.
- Prepare and maintain dental materials, consumables, and equipment required for procedures.
- Support proper disposal of biomedical waste as per hospital protocols.
- Assist with patient preparation and provide basic support before, during,



and after procedures.
- Ensure dental equipment and instruments are handled carefully and safely.
- Maintain adequate stock of dental consumables and inform the concerned person about shortages or requirements.
- Support smooth patient flow and coordination within the dental department.
- Follow Apollo Clinic’s protocols related to infection control, patient safety, hygiene, and documentation.
- Maintain qualified and courteous communication with patients, doctors, and team members.
- Perform any other dental-assistance duties assigned by the reporting manager or dental doctors.

Candidate Requirements

- Diploma/Certificate in Dental Assisting or relevant dental background preferred.
- Freshers with relevant training may apply.
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of dental instruments, chairside assistance, and sterilisation procedures preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Should be responsible, punctual, hygienic, and willing to work as part of a team.
