About the Opportunity BMI-GeoQuant (a Fitch Solutions Company) combines political science with advanced analytics to deliver verifiable, high-frequency geopolitical and country-risk insights to institutional clients globally.

We are expanding our Defense & Security intelligence desk and are seeking elite Defense Domain Experts (Part time / Remote) based in India. This is a high-value consulting role designed for active defense industry professionals, ex-servicemen, or intelligence personnel looking to monetize their deep domain expertise alongside their current jobs.

The Mission (Your Role) You will act as a primary intelligence analyst, evaluating both the Indian and Global defense landscapes. You will be expected to deliver one highly detailed report per week (Minimum 4 per month).

Your 1,500+ word reports will cover two core spectrums:

1. Strategic & Geopolitical Threats: Analyzing border security dynamics, maritime strategies (e.g., Indo-Pacific), force posture shifts, and active conflict zones.
2. Defense Economics & Procurement: Tracking global arms acquisitions, military modernization programs, defense budgets,



and policies like "Make in India" in defense manufacturing.

Who We Are Looking For

- The Veteran/Insider: You have a minimum of 2 years of on-the-ground experience working in the Armed Forces, Paramilitary, Intelligence Agencies, DRDO, or Tier-1 Defense/Aerospace OEMs.
- The Intelligence Gatherer: You know how to extract verifiable data from reliable sources, OSINT (Open Source Intelligence), and defense whitepapersmoving beyond basic news headlines.
- The Analyst: You can translate complex military capabilities or procurement data into strategic risk assessments for global investors and policymakers.
- The Communicator: You possess excellent written English skills, capable of drafting professional, citation-backed intelligence reports.

Compensation & The Selection Process We pay a premium for accuracy, depth, and genuine expertise.

1. The Trial (Paid): Shortlisted candidates must write two specific sample reports based on a prompt we provide. You will be paid INR 13,000 per sample report (Total INR 26,000) for this evaluation phase.
2. Post-Selection: Upon meeting our benchmark quality standards, you will be empaneled as a regular contributor.
3. Retainer Earnings: You will earn between INR 16,000 to INR 40,000 per report (depending on complexity), plus performance bonuses. Generating 4 reports a month translates to a highly lucrative part-time income (approx. 64,000 to 1.6+ Lakhs/month).
