Role Overview The Dean – Research will lead the institution’s research strategy, promote a strong research culture, secure external research funding, and drive innovation, patents, and intellectual property generation. The role involves strengthening research collaborations, enhancing publication quality, and ensuring impactful research outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Develop and implement the institutional research strategy aligned with academic and industry priorities.
- Identify and secure research grants and funding from government agencies, industry, and other funding bodies.
- Lead the development of funded research projects and support faculty in preparing competitive grant proposals.
- Promote high-quality research publications, interdisciplinary research, and collaborative projects.
- Drive innovation, technology transfer, patent filing, and intellectual property (IP) commercialization.
- Establish research partnerships with industry, national and international institutions, and funding agencies.
- Build research capacity through faculty mentoring, workshops,



and research development initiatives.
- Establish research policies, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
- Track key research performance indicators, including grants secured, publications, patents, and technology transfers.

Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a reputed institution.
- Significant academic and research experience, preferably with leadership experience as Dean, Director of Research, or in an equivalent senior position.
- Demonstrated track record of securing research funding and grants and developing successfully funded research projects.
- Proven experience in patents, intellectual property generation, technology transfer, or commercialization of research outcomes.
- Robust record of high-quality research publications and interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Experience in managing research teams, budgets, and sponsored projects.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
