Role Overview: As a Cybersecurity Researcher – Red Team, you will contribute to identifying security weaknesses, researching attack techniques, and evaluating the resilience of applications, networks, systems, and cybersecurity products. You will work alongside experienced security professionals to conduct authorized security testing, simulate real-world attack scenarios, and help strengthen product and enterprise security.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct authorized security assessments of applications, networks, systems, and cybersecurity products to identify vulnerabilities.
- Perform penetration testing and simulate real-world adversarial techniques to evaluate security controls.
- Identify and validate vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential attack vectors.
- Assess web application security, including SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), authentication and authorization flaws, and other common vulnerabilities.
- Use relevant security tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, OWASP ZAP, Wireshark, and Metasploit.
- Research attack techniques, exploit methodologies, emerging vulnerabilities, and CVEs.
- Document findings,



demonstrate security impact where appropriate, and recommend remediation measures.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity researchers and product engineering teams to validate fixes and improve product security.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, offensive security techniques, and industry developments.

Required Skills

- Strong fundamentals in networking, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and operating systems.
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common web application vulnerabilities.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or similar languages is an advantage.
- Robust analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for security research.

Good to Have

- Hands-on experience with ethical hacking labs, CTF challenges, or penetration testing projects.
- Knowledge of privilege escalation, network enumeration, and web application exploitation.
- Familiarity with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and other offensive security tools.
- Exposure to exploit research, CVE analysis, or responsible vulnerability disclosure.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications or demonstrable practical skills.
