Role Description The Cotton Purchase Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad.

Manager will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing cotton from approved suppliers and markets, ensuring quality standards and competitive pricing. This role includes monitoring market trends, evaluating supplier performance, negotiating contracts, and maintaining accurate purchase records.

Manager will collaborate with production, quality, and finance teams to align purchasing plans with inventory requirements and budget constraints. The role also involves regular vendor visits, verification of stock and quality, and compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in procurement and vendor management, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience in inventory and supply chain coordination,



with the ability to manage stock levels and ensure timely delivery of cotton.
- Knowledge of cotton quality parameters, grading standards, and relevant industry practices.
- Competence in data analysis and basic commercial calculations to support price comparison, cost optimization, and reporting.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills to work with suppliers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in office in Ahmedabad, conduct field visits, and operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Prior experience in cotton purchasing, textile procurement, or agriculture commodities is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
