Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cook role based in Patiala. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements, ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation meet organizational standards.

Day-to-day tasks include ingredient preparation, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, safe food storage,



and proper handling of equipment. The Cook will manage portioning, assist in menu planning, monitor inventory, and coordinate with procurement staff to ensure timely supply of ingredients. The role also involves adhering to safety regulations, minimizing food waste, and supporting smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.

Qualifications

- Qualified cooking skills, including experience in preparing a variety of dishes and following standard recipes.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and basic nutrition principles.
- Ability to manage kitchen operations, including time management, multitasking, and organization under pressure.
- Experience with inventory handling, basic stock management, and coordination with suppliers.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other staff and management.
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role; experience in institutional or corporate kitchens is an advantage.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with cooking and kitchen maintenance.
- Formal culinary training, certification in food handling, or hospitality qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
