Workday Integration & Marketplace Certification Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Workday Integration Consultant / Expert with strong hands-on experience in Workday integrations and additional experience supporting Workday Marketplace certification.

The consultant will support multiple Workday integration initiatives. For applicable projects, the consultant will also provide specialized guidance on the Workday Marketplace certification process, including preparation, submission, Workday reviews, and certification-related activities.

The ideal candidate should therefore have both strong Workday integration expertise and practical Workday Marketplace certification experience.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Integration

- Provide technical and functional guidance on Workday integrations across different client projects.
- Guide team in setting up the Workday Sandbox/Implementation tenant for the required integration use case workflows.
- Review integration requirements and recommend appropriate Workday integration approaches and patterns.
- Work with solution architects and technical teams to define integration architecture, data flows, APIs, security, and field mappings.
- Provide guidance on Workday integration technologies and capabilities, including Workday Studio, Orchestrate, REST/SOAP APIs, RaaS, business processes, and other relevant Workday integration mechanisms.
- Review integration designs and identify technical or implementation gaps.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of Workday integration-related issues.
- Advise delivery teams on Workday-specific considerations, limitations, and best practices.
- Support integration projects from requirements and design through implementation, testing, and deployment.

Workday Marketplace / Certification
- Provide specialized guidance on the Workday Marketplace certification process.
- Review proposed integration and implementation approach from a Marketplace certification perspective.




- Guide teams on requirements for Workday Design Approved and Certified Integration processes, as applicable.
- Review and help prepare certification-related documentation, use cases, architecture documents, data mappings, security information, and other required artifacts.
- Support preparation and submission of Workday certification materials.
- Review feedback received from Workday and guide the team on required responses or changes.
- Identify potential certification gaps and provide recommendations to address them.
- Support discussions with Workday/partner contacts related to certification when required.
- Help the team navigate the certification process through the required Marketplace milestone.

Required Experience
- Robust hands-on experience as a Workday Integration Consultant / Architect / Technical Consultant.
- Strong understanding of Workday integration architecture, integration patterns, APIs, security, data mapping, and business processes.
- Experience working on multiple Workday integration projects with hands-on experience with Workday Marketplace certification / Workday Integration certification.
- Prior involvement in at least one Workday integration that went through the Workday Marketplace certification process.
- Practical experience preparing or reviewing Workday certification/submission artifacts.
- Experience working with Workday and third-party systems/integrations.
- Ability to work closely with solution architects, developers, QA, business analysts, and delivery managers.
- Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Experience with Workday Recruiting, HCM, or other relevant Workday modules.
- Experience with Workday Studio, Orchestrate, REST/SOAP APIs, RaaS, and other Workday integration technologies.
- Experience with complex third-party integrations and bidirectional data flows.
- Experience reviewing Workday integration designs for certification readiness.
