Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced AHU Commissioning Engineer – Data Center with strong hands-on expertise in AHU/CRAH commissioning, PLC/DDC programming, controls troubleshooting and BMS integration.

The role will be responsible for ensuring successful pre-commissioning, commissioning, functional testing and integrated testing of HVAC systems at data center projects, with particular focus on Siemens PLC/DDC-based control systems and BMS communication.

Key Responsibilities

AHU / HVAC Commissioning

- Execute pre-commissioning, commissioning and functional testing of AHUs, CRAHs, FWUs and associated HVAC systems.
- Carry out equipment start-up, functional checks, performance verification and troubleshooting.
- Verify operating parameters including temperature, humidity, airflow, differential pressure and other critical HVAC parameters.
- Review equipment and system readiness prior to commissioning.

PLC / DDC & Controls
- Perform PLC programming, configuration, troubleshooting and commissioning, with strong hands-on experience in Siemens PLC/DDC controllers.
- Review and troubleshoot PLC logic, control sequences, interlocks, permissives, alarms and control loops.
- Modify/configure control logic and parameters as required during commissioning.
- Verify correct operation of control panels, controllers, actuators, VFD interfaces and field devices.




- Troubleshoot communication and control-related issues during site commissioning.

BMS / BAS Integration
- Conduct BMS/BAS point-to-point verification and functional testing.
- Verify communication between AHU/CRAH controllers and BMS through 0–10V, Modbus, BACnet and Ethernet protocols.
- Validate all monitoring and control points against approved I/O lists and control philosophy.
- Troubleshoot BMS communication, point mapping, alarms, trends and command/status issues.
- Ensure proper integration of HVAC equipment with the Data Center BMS/BAS.

Engineering Documentation & Sequence Verification
- Review and verify GA drawings, electrical drawings, control schematics, TDS, I/O lists and SOO/DOO.
- Execute and validate approved Sequence of Operation (SOO) / Description of Operation (DOO).
- Verify that actual equipment operation complies with approved sequences and project specifications.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings, programming and actual site installation and coordinate corrective actions.

Data Center Testing & Commissioning
- Support and participate in FAT, SAT, PFC, FPT, TAB and Integrated System Testing (IST).
- Support HVAC system testing under normal, standby, alarm and failure scenarios.
- Participate in integrated testing of HVAC controls and critical data center systems.
- Ensure commissioning activities are completed in accordance with project quality, safety and client requirements.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management




- Coordinate closely with BMS, Electrical, HVAC, TAB, CxP, QA/QC, project and client teams.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, system integrators and controls vendors for timely resolution of commissioning issues.
- Prepare commissioning checklists, test reports, punch points and closure documentation.
- Provide technical support during site troubleshooting and client demonstrations.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years of relevant experience in HVAC controls, PLC programming, commissioning or data center MEP commissioning.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting and commissioning.
- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLC / DDC controllers.
- Strong knowledge of AHU, CRAH, FWU and HVAC control systems.
- Experience in BMS/BAS integration and commissioning.
- Good understanding of Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet and 0–10V communication/signals.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, GA drawings, I/O lists and control sequences.
- Strong understanding of SOO/DOO, interlocks, permissives, alarms and control loops.
- Experience with HVAC sensors including temperature, humidity, differential pressure and airflow sensors.
- Experience in Data Center commissioning / mission-critical environments will be strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of FAT, SAT, PFC, FPT, TAB and IST processes.
- Robust troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills with clients and multiple project stakeholders.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Controls or Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant technical certifications in PLC, BMS, HVAC Controls or Data Center Commissioning will be an advantage.
