Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced US GAAP accounting professional with strong technical accounting expertise to support client-facing engagements. This role requires deep understanding of complex accounting matters, the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues, and ownership of new client onboarding to establish scalable and compliant monthly accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Accounting & US GAAP Advisory

- Provide hands-on expertise on US GAAP technical accounting matters
- Identify, assess, and resolve accounting and accrual-related issues across client accounts
- Research and document accounting treatments for complex transactions
- Review financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and consistency with US GAAP
- Guide teams on proper accounting policies, judgments, and estimates

Client Onboarding & Setup

- Lead onboarding of new clients , including understanding business models, systems, and accounting complexities
- Establish chart of accounts, accounting policies, and monthly close processes
- Ensure clients are set up for accurate and efficient monthly accounting going forward
- Act as a key point of contact during the initial transition phase

Monthly Accounting & Oversight

- Oversee month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate deliverables




- Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and management reports
- Ensure strong internal controls and audit readiness
- Support ongoing client needs with accounting guidance and issue resolution

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

- Work closely with client stakeholders, controllers, and CFOs
- Mentor and guide accounting teams on technical matters and best practices
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including AP, AR, Payroll, and Tax

Required Qualifications & Experience

- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong, hands-on expertise in US GAAP (mandatory)
- Proven experience in technical accounting analysis and issue resolution
- Prior experience working with US-based clients
- Experience in client onboarding or transition of accounting services
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, or similar)

- Experience documenting accounting policies and technical memos

- Excellent client communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements
