Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Chinese Chef (Commi 1) to join our hotel kitchen team in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The candidate should have good knowledge of Chinese cuisine, wok cooking, and kitchen operations, with the ability to prepare quality dishes while maintaining consistency, taste, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare Chinese dishes such as noodles, fried rice, Manchurian, chilli paneer, chilli chicken, soups, and stir-fried preparations.
- Handle daily mise en place and ensure ingredients are ready before service.
- Operate a wok and other Chinese kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, quality, and presentation.
- Prepare sauces, stocks, marinades, and other basic Chinese kitchen preparations.
- Assist the Chef de Partie and senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstation.
- Follow FIFO principles and proper food storage procedures.
- Monitor ingredient usage and minimize food wastage.
- Coordinate with other kitchen team members for timely food preparation.
- Follow standardized recipes and food safety procedures.

Required Skills




- Valuable knowledge of Chinese cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Practical experience in wok cooking and stir-frying.
- Knowledge of Chinese sauces, seasonings, noodles, and rice preparations.
- Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service hours.
- Teamwork, time management, and attention to detail.

Eligibility Criteria
- 3 to 6 years of experience in a Chinese kitchen, preferably in a hotel, resort, or reputed restaurant.
- Previous experience as a Commi 1 or 2 or equivalent position preferred.
- Culinary or Hotel Management qualification is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹22,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
