Job Summary

We are looking for a Food Testing Laboratory Professional with 3–5 years of experience in a food testing laboratory. Experience in a NABL-accredited laboratory will be preferred.

Responsibility & Authority:

1. Complying with lab quality policy & objectives and management systems.
2. Allocation of work to the chemist and supervision of their testing activities.
3. Responsible for calibration of Glassware, ensuring quality of chemicals received in the section.
4. Analysis of Physical and Chemical Parameters(Proximate analysis Preservatives, Adulterants, Neutralizer and safety parameters) in all types such as Dairy and Dairy products, Oils and Fats, Cereals and Pulses, Spices and Condiments, Animal feeds, Fruits and Vegetables, Beverages, Egg powder, Nut and Nut products, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, salt and Honey.
5. Ensure the correctness of results and repeats the test whenever required in case of doubt.
6. Compilation of results for typing and checking test reports for its accuracy.
7. Responsible for raising purchase indents, maintenance of registers for Stock Chemicals, Glassware’s and CRM’s.
8. Responsible for maintenance of register for duplicate analysis, IQC checks.
9. Responsible for Identification of internal Training of Juniors & Maintaining the record for same.
10. Responsible for maintaining records of external and internal Calibration of instruments and coordinating with QC person for external calibration.

Responsible for identification and verification of critical consumables in the section.
12. Responsible for storage, retention and disposal of the samples as per the requirements.
13. Responsible for informing about the updation of standards for the testing carried out and revision of SOP’s.
14. Responsible for maintaining the documents related to the regulatory authorities and preparation for the renewal / Re assessment audit of the section.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform food testing and analysis as per approved methods and standards.
- Handle sample receiving, preparation, testing, documentation and reporting.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Follow NABL and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Maintain proper laboratory records and test reports.
- Perform quality control checks and ensure accurate test results.
- Assist with method validation, verification and other quality activities.
- Follow laboratory safety and positive laboratory practices.
- Support NABL audits and other laboratory audits.
- Keep updated with FSSAI, BIS, ISO, AOAC and other relevant food testing requirements.

Qualification & Skills

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a food testing laboratory.
