Job Summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations while delivering nutritious and delicious food for hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals and snacks according to menu plans
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Monitor food inventory and assist in stock management
- Ensure proper food storage and handling procedures
- Supervise kitchen assistants and support staff when required
- Follow hospital food safety and hygiene regulations at all times




- Assist in menu planning and introducing current dishes when needed

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a hotel, restaurant, canteen, or hospital setting
- Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to manage time and multitask effectively
- Culinary certification or relevant training is an advantage
