Role Description The Category Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru. This role involves managing assigned product or service categories, including planning, sourcing, pricing, and performance analysis to drive profitability and growth.

The Category

Manager will review market trends, analyze sales data, and collaborate with procurement, sales, and finance teams to optimize assortments and supplier relationships. Daily responsibilities include negotiating contracts with vendors, monitoring key performance indicators, preparing reports and forecasts,



and aligning category strategies with overall business objectives. The role also requires close coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent execution of category plans and continuous improvement of processes.

Qualifications

- Strong category management skills, including planning, assortment optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret data, track performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in procurement and contract negotiation, with the ability to manage suppliers and secure favorable terms.
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with sales teams and support revenue and margin growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel and category management or procurement tools; familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced, multi-sector environment.
