:

- SRM Services is a Facility Management firm catering to Educational Institutions. One of such educational campus comprising of a University, Junior College and School is located at Solapur requires a

Canteen Manager to take care of day to day operations of the University Mess / Cafeteria.

- The Hostel students and the staff avail their daily meals from this canteen and cafeteria and approximately facilitates 600 to 1000 people a day

Job Responsibilities:

- Canteen Manager is accountable for all day to day operations of the Kitchen / canteen and Cafeteria .

- He shall overview all operations (from cooking to serving as per the scheduled timings)

- Procurement of vegetables, Milk and grocery as per the requirement and the companies purchase a policy. Ensuring appropriate storing of the same.

- Ensuring healthy and nutritious food to be cooked and served for which shall coordinate with the Mess Committee and prepare appropriate Menu.

- Maintaining hygiene Kitchen / cleanliness of the dining hall premises. Keep to all safety standards / always see to that the premises is pest/insect free

- Minimizing the wastage of the food

- Keeping the day wise count of the students / staff and guests availing the facility for billing purpose.

- Coordinating with the administrative office of the university / School and Junior College to make food arrangements for the guests, VVIPS and the Management,



based on the schedule of their visits to the Premises.

- Coordinating with HO-SRM Services for all accounting purposes and Staff management.

- Spontaneous actions in resolving any complaints from the stakeholders and authorities

- Shall manage all stock and timely repair & maintenance of the equipment and machinery of the Kitchen and Dining Hall

- Shall help the Management in hiring the chefs / cooks / helpers / cleaning staff for operating this Canteen /Cafeteria .

- Shall ensure a positive environment among the staff
- train the staff to behave to their best of the etiquettes and ensure professionalism among the canteen staff

- Ensure all staff strictly adhere to the rules and regulations and keep to the decorum of the premises towards the safety of the stakeholders.

- Shall ensure all covid-19 preventive measures

Desired Candidate Shall be

- Any Graduate with min. 5 years relevant experience in running /working in Canteen / Dining Hall / Mess services.

- Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management will be an added advantage

- Work experience in hospitality services or hotels with F&B; experience can also apply for this position

Required Skills

- Having knowledge of different cuisines

- Good at maintaining interpersonal relations with all the staff

- Problem solving skills

- Proficient in using computers and preparing MIS reports

- Positive communication skills
