We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience in Direct Tax, Accounting, and Auditing to support Canadian tax compliance and advisory engagements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of taxation principles, financial statements, and audit procedures, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced workplace and manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review Canadian Corporate Tax Returns (T2) and related tax schedules.

- Analyze financial statements and supporting documents for tax compliance.

- Perform tax provisions, tax reconciliations, and identify tax-saving opportunities.

- Assist in tax research and interpretation of Canadian tax legislation.

- Work closely with audit and accounting teams to gather financial information required for tax filings.

- Review general ledger accounts, trial balances, and year-end financial statements.

- Support tax audits, notices, and queries from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

- Ensure compliance with tax deadlines and internal quality standards.

- Prepare work papers,



tax calculations, and documentation for review.

- Participate in client discussions and provide tax-related support as needed.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.

- CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred.

- 2-7 years of experience in Direct Tax, Accounting, and/or Auditing.

- Experience in preparing corporate tax returns and reviewing financial statements.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and audit procedures.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working on Canadian Tax engagements.

- Exposure to tax software such as CaseWare, TaxPrep, CCH, or similar tools.

- Knowledge of GST/HST, corporate tax provisions, and tax compliance processes.
