Business Development Manager – Home Automation

About the Role

Home Bots Automation is looking for a Business Development Manager to grow our home automation business through architects, interior designers, builders, developers and HNI clients.

This is a field-based, relationship-driven sales role focused on getting Home Bots solutions specified at the project/design stage and converting those opportunities into business.

Key Responsibilities

- Build relationships with architects, interior designers, builders and developers.
- Identify upcoming residential and luxury projects.
- Introduce and specify Home Bots automation solutions in projects.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, site visits and product demonstrations.
- Develop HNI/luxury homeowner opportunities.
- Build partnerships with lighting, electrical, AV, HVAC, security and interior companies.
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead → specification → proposal → negotiation → order.
- Coordinate with technical and project teams for smooth execution.




- Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.

Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience in business development / specification sales / consultative sales.
- Experience in home automation, electrical, lighting, AV, interiors, real estate, building materials or MEP preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong networking and relationship-building ability.
- Valuable follow-up and sales pipeline management skills.
- Comfortable meeting architects, builders and HNI clients.
- Willingness to travel for client and project meetings.

Knowledge of KNX, Lutron, Crestron, Savant, RTI or similar automation systems is an advantage.

Salary: Based on experience and market standards
